Gutted about missing out NYE

Hello,

This will me and my partners first new years together and I'm having to work a night shift so will miss it all. I'm gutted, as it was a night that I really wanted to share with him and have a kiss and cuddle at midnight 😢

I know there's nothing I can do but it still hurts so badly knowing I can't be with him.

Is anyone else in the same boat?

It’s just another night - if you’ve to work, you’ve to work. Did you apply for annual leave for the night?

I did try but it was declined due to having minimum off due to it being a busy night, it's kind of luck of the draw and I wasn't picked
