Better looking men down south

Hello,

51 year old northern female. Used dating apps a while after the breakdown of a long relationship. Struggling to like anyone up north.

I have travelled south and Bumble readjusts to your location and Hinge lets you change location - I swear the best looking men all live south of Nottingham. Also, doesn't help that I am attracted to southern accents! London area, in particular, has a higher percentage of men that I wouldn't mind getting to know 😊.

I'm being really shallow, I know, but this is the way it is - certainly the way I am seeing it!

Maybe it's the north/south divide! Or, maybe there's something in it!

I'm pretty sure it's the algorithm. The apps show you the most swiped people first so if you change location you're probably seeing the "cream of the crop". Also London is a bit different from the rest of the south. I'm from a notoriously scruffy part of the south and I'm always amazed by how well turned out the average Londoner looks!

Like the pp said. It's because you're new to the area and seeing 'the cream of the crop' all in one go.

No evidence whatsoever that there's any different in looks norht v south of the country (a tiny country, it would be weird if there was, besides people move between regions all the time, so why would all the good looking ones end up in one place??!!)
