Is it me or is this rude?

Went to meet two friends for lunch today. I organised the meet up. I was on time but they'd both got there before me, and were chatting intently. One of them is very self absorbed and everything revolves around her all the time anyway.

I sat down, said hello, they both looked at me, neither said hello, and they both then continued their conversation for about 5 minutes before acknowledging me and saying hello to me.

Is this rude or am I being sensitive?

Yes, that's very rude of them. And pretty odd.

Of course it's rude. Waiting 5 minutes to be acknowledged and welcomed is very disrespectful. I'd be offended and I wouldn't treat others like that.

Very rude. I turned up a few mins late to meet two good friends for lunch on Friday and they were both already sitting at the table - both got up to hug and kiss me when I arrived. I would have done the same if I'd have got there first. That's an awful start to a social with friends.

Yes it’s very very rude. I would used to have interrupted- I couldn’t just sit there without being acknowledged. They’re rude and ignorant
