My husband told me about a month ago that his sister had invited us over during the Xmas period and gave us the choice of Xmas Eve or Xmas day.
‘Tbh I didn’t want to go at all his family have not treated me well over the years and I’m at the stage I don’t want to force myself. Anyway last night I agreed to go on the Xmas Eve and husband replies that was never an option we are going on Xmas day and if you don’t want to go I’m going with the children!!!! We have spent 1 Xmas with my family in 23 years ! And multiple times with his (we don’t live in the uk)
i have 2 days off at Xmas and I was willing to compromise by going on the 24th but I feel so anxious now as it’s going to create more arguments but I’m determined to stand my ground on this one.

He says I’m being controlling about this ! I mean I’m willing to go on the 24th which was an option until he’s decided it’s not

What's the plan if you don't go there?Xmas at home? How old are kids?

I'd be fuming at the deceit and threats!
