I’ve had enough and have decided to leave Dh. We’ve been married 8y and we have 2dc that are 6 and 2. He has always been emotionally, financially and sexually abusive and he has been physically abusive to me once.

Can anyone provide any practical advice about what I need to do?

I have spoken to womens aid online and they’ve said I need to call them and speak to someone over the phone but I haven’t been able to do this yet as he’s off work and lingering around.

I’m guessing they can signpost me to my council who I believe will have a duty of care to house me & kids. I’m scared about where that will be.

Would love to hear from anyone who’s been through this.
