Colleague coming on to me

Any advice on how to navigate this? I started a role a few years ago and had a male manager.

I have since been promoted and am same level as him. I no longer work directly with him although in same company.

Saw him after at a work event recently and he said he can’t stop thinking about me and always thought I was stunning. He states he is single and would like to go on a date with me.

I’m also single & he’s attractive but I’m sort of indifferent. I’m more worried about the risk to my reputation at work. So maybe if I didn’t know him through work I’d consider seeing where things may go, but I can see things ending badly when you date colleagues. He’s always been friendly but people act a bit funny when they’re rejected, so worried about that too.

"No thank you. I don't want to date work colleagues."

“I’m very flattered but don’t date work colleagues.”

Just say "mum always told me not to shit where you eat". 😂

Probably better to say what @CrikeyMajikey said.
