Together again but no passion

I was dating my partner for 12 months until we split last summer. We went our separate ways, no contact, but reached out again in April this year. We met up and are now seeing each other again, with fresh mindsets.
The problem is whilst we are very affectionate towards each other, we have not been passionate once since getting back together, on the basis that we (them to more of an extent) are so busy and never in the mood.
Is this therefore more of a friend zone situation and a chance to move on to a more physically suited relationship?

That wouldn’t be for me, sounds more like friends / loneliness.
if I’ve ever got back with an ex it’s because we were jumping the bones of each other

Doesn't sound good OP! You've fast forwarded to old couple and missed out the fun bit.

You’ve only had a short time together, should still be very much at the passionate stage. When I have got together with exes in the past “passion” was top of the agenda.

Thanks all, yes its a very strange situation. Every time I think I need to have that chat I am simply drawn back to them. So I either need to ride it out, or do the needful and friendzone it.

So do I just say that there's no passion which isn't what I want and so want out? Isn't that a bit shallow given we do love each other?
