Boyfriend was nasty when he ended things

My boyfriend recently dumped me. We had been together for several months and recently gone on a weekend away together. The weekend away was fine and things were fine when we got back days later he ghosted me. After 2 weeks I messaged and asked to talk or get my things back. He carried on ignoring me. I then turned up at his door and he was extremely angry with me. Said he didn’t want me anymore, it was over weeks ago, he didn’t have to tell me why, he was just going to never talk to me again etc I got my stuff back and he slammed the door very angry and very cold with me without much explanation. Now I accept it’s over and I have had a lucky escape, I’m moving on but has anyone else found that there boyfriends have ended things out of the blue and very angry like this? We never even had an argument? It would just be nice to hear if anyone else had experienced this before?

You can bet your bottom dollar he's been seeing someone else at the same time and has now chosen them I'm afraid. Therefore he doesn't want you letting the other party know of your existence so he just wants you gone so you can't mess it up for him.
But yeah lucky escape
You can do better than that arsehole .

gooseberryganache · 17/11/2023 15:24

I agree with pp.

You've certainly had a lucky escape and can do better x

I thought this but he spent so much time with me and he has his kids 50% of the time. Also surely if that was the reason he would want shot of me quickly and therefore have a blunt conversation weeks ago? He could have taken her on the holiday instead of me?

How long has he been split from the mother of his kids ?

3sausagedogs · 17/11/2023 16:20

They had counselling in 2020 and it fell apart around then. His divorce came through a few weeks ago and she’s moved her boyfriend in to the family home so that’s all done a long time ago.

Not good behaviour. He's angry with you but why?

Janeandme · 17/11/2023 16:31

He was clearly angry as she turned up at his door.

did he invite you in? I’m assuming he kept you on the doorstep, so he had another woman there.

3sausagedogs · 17/11/2023 16:32

No idea? He was extremely angry. He said he read a message wrong and maybe a communication issue. He simply said no reason no idea just didn’t want me anymore

I had to get my stuff back and he even said himself he was never going to reply so it’s a good job I did go and I got closure from actually knowing

That is exactly what I thought.

NotaCoolMum · 17/11/2023 16:37

Did you post about this on a FB group? Someone has gone through exactly this on fb too. It’s shit of him I’m sorry x

Shivermetimbersmearty · 17/11/2023 16:37

What a weirdo- so sorry you experienced this.

Divorced for a reason obviously. Remember this is all about him- says nothing about you, so please don’t try to analyse your behaviour.

as you’ve said yourself, you’ve dodged a bullet. Who cares if he has met someone else- poor woman is to be pitied.

3sausagedogs · 17/11/2023 16:52

Nope I haven’t posted on Facebook x

Also my coat was still by the front door as were my bright pinks slippers so bit odd if he’s had other girls over i though

I agree it's ridiculous of him to be angry when he chose to dump you.

Maybe it's defensive anger because he knows he acted badly and he didn't want to face YOUR anger.

Then maybe he was extra angry that you weren't angry and just wanted your nice pink slippers and other stuff.

3sausagedogs · 17/11/2023 17:49

Nah I’m not gonna get angry. I said did he not think I deserved a conversation and he said no. I said ok can I have my things back then and he said he would bring them to me next week or another time. I refused and wanted them there and then. No point seeing each other again I thought. I could live without the slippers but he had a really expensive dress and jacket of mine that I can’t replace. He’s kept some of my stuff though

His behaviour was unbalanced and way too aggressive. I didn’t shout, get angry, cry, beg I was just like ok

Newnamehiwhodis · 17/11/2023 17:54

That’s completely horrible. Thank goodness you’re free of him.
well balanced people do not treat others this way.

Hellohowareyou12 · 17/11/2023 19:04

What a nasty piece of trash

Epidote · 17/11/2023 19:34

How you dare to want your belongings back? Thanks God it is your ex. Do not dedicated him another second of your life, thoughts etc.

sazzaz1980 · 17/11/2023 20:25

You’ve had a lucky escape! It sounds like you handled the situation well. Move on, as you’re worth so much more! x

firstmummy2019 · 17/11/2023 20:30

Sounds like a coke head. Irratic behaviour! Mood swings! Anger! Please block him as I guarantee in 6 months time he will come sniffing around wanting some validation for his weak ego.

Um what? he ghosted her after their weekend and got angry she fronted up at his door, that’s not erratic, that’s someone who is a coward, doesn’t want to tell her to her face, it is not a sign of a coke head, give over.😂
