Not sure I’ve put this in the right place!
The partner of my good friend has asked me to help her find a ring to propose with (the couple are both female). They have discussed it before (and I have discussed rings with my friend too) and she’s always said she wants her grandmothers ring…but her grandma is still alive!
The partner has asked me to help her find out what my friend would like, how can I do this subtly? I’m meeting my friend for coffee this week and her partner wants to get a ring as soon as possible so I’ll need to try and find out quickly.
Before anyone suggests they go together, my friend and her partner have talked about marriage, the ring and proposal are just a formality and my friend has specifically said she doesn’t want to go ring shopping with her partner to pick one together.
