As a 2nd job I work in the fitness industry as an instructor - yoga, Pilates, spin, stength & core . Another instructor who teaches Tai Chi has previously made it clear he likes me. Recently I cannot stop thinking about him. I have set up a sort of date under the pretence of learning Tai Chi. He is letting me attend a class he runs outside of the leasure centre for free, and in return I have offered a free massage. Ok the massage sounds a bit cringe / full on but he kindly acted as one of my volunteers when I did my massage training a while ago and and I am very professional when I do them. The question is what should I wear to impress him. He has only seen me in usual gym wear - leggings sports tops etc so as that got his attention should I stick with this? Or as I will be coming from my office job should I wear one of my nice dresses to impress him? Not so activity friendly but I have done some Tai Chi in a lunch class at work in dresses before so I could get away with it. Bit nervous as I am sure many single mums are when it comes to dating again.

I think you will look like you're trying way too hard if you do the class in a dress. However you could arrive in the dress and then change for class?

Was going to suggest exactly this. Sounds exciting OP

Thanks a good idea. Its in a village Hall, but I am sure I could use the toilet or Kitchen area from what I remember having used it myself once covering a friend's yoga class. I thought I might get away with a dress on the excuse I rushed there from work. I think most of the class are in the retiree bracket so it isn't the most friendly of time for those working. If he does ask me for a drink straight after, I guess fitness gear might look better than a disheveled dress, if it gets hit in there lol.

Thanks, a little nervous so perhaps wanted to stand out a bit too much. Kind wanted to make him make the next move incase I get too nervous. When he originally told me how much he liked me I was still a bit broken from my breakup and didn't think I communicated it well that I fancied him but wasn't ready. For ages I worried he thought it might have been due to race (he comes from Jamaica) after my Dads cringy comment when we bumped into him in town. Or that he thought I didn't like him so begsn to get a bit fluster around him. Though I always took extra care on my appearance on days I knew our paths may cross. I think a mutual friend might have told him i like him after a conversation we had at the gym cafe a few weeks ago after we bumped into him after a class.
