Last time I saw Mike and the Mechanics was in Lisbon supporting Phil Collins before DD was born. It was the night before the Euro finals in Portugal and the atmosphere was electric.

Duke is a part of my growing up in a massively dysfunctional setting so sort of haunts me. But brings me comfort also.

Wow a blast from the past! I was a massive Genesis fan as a teenager after a friend of mine introduced me to them. I saw them at Wembley arena for the Abacab tour in December 1981. It was without doubt the best concert I have ever been to.

I have also seen Steve Hackett in concert - fab guitarist ! And Mike and the Mechanics twice.

I was less of a fan of their later stuff as I felt they had sold out and become a bit too mainstream. Loved the concept albums of the 1970s. I did love Phil Collins but there was something very special about Peter Gabriel- I just loved his voice.
