Was I abused?

This is hard for me to write but I don't know if what I experienced was abuse. I'll write it briefly - I felt so ashamed after and I don't know why.

The guy in question came to give me a hug - he then got sexual with me, at various times I said we shouldn't/no but he then tried to have sex with me.

He then gave up but started to touch me again - I still resisted but then I just let him, he then also had sex with me. I just feel so confused

Firstly you shouldn’t feel ashamed because he definitely sounds like he is in the wrong

you have advised that you said no on several occasions and yet he persisted to the point that you were forced into sex, this is really negative and I’m sorry it happened to you and it might be worth ringing a sexual assault helpline if you feel it would help
