Local dv services

Can anyone tell me what happens when you ring your local dv services? Do they then contact social services/children's school etc? I read on their website they can help you with legal advice and therapy. I just keep chickening out of calling in case they send someone round and it all blows up. I've been advised to talk to pastoral care team at school too. What do they do?

Not sure where you are but I have been envolved with victim support, they may phone social services depending on what you tell them and if they feel the children are in danger. But they are amazing, very discreet, they are very understanding to be careful not to leave answerphone messages/when it’s safe to call or you can just walk into one of there one stop shops and talk to someone privately and they normally have a solicitor there to give advice aswell, they would never send someone round your house! Not sure about pastoral care team at school for DV to be honest!
