Oh up at 6am today doing Overtime. I am heavily pregnant and was in pain / uncomfortable all yesterday & last night.
I over done it yesterday and fell asleep for 20 minutes nearly missed school run.

This morning he wakes at 6, asked for a back stroke bare in mind I'm asleep/ half asleep.
I say no I'm goin asleep.
He's got hall light on, singing, opening & closing all the drawes and generally just not being quiet.
I'm wide away by the time he's left.

I have other dc in bed who I need to look after while he's working. They have clubs on today.

We don't even need the money for the Overtime.

Be grateful for what? He is selfish, inconsiderate and that is before you say you are pregnant. Why would he purposefully try to wake the entire house up especially with children in it knowing that you are all potentially having a lie in? Why would he make your life harder (over tired children) when he won't even be there to be a second parent because he is off to work? He is an arsehole.

My Dad used to do this, find it hilarious, one up, all up mentality. It was rage inducing especially as teens in the school holidays. I would talk to him about this later and ask him why he felt he needed to be deliberately noisy? What motivated him to want to wake everyone up?

I have in the past, he says the kids don't wake up they sleep like logs he says it's me

So knowing it wakes YOU he feels this is okay? No it isn't okay. Why would any sane human want to deliberately cut short the sleep of a heavily pregnant woman?

Specso · 07/10/2023 08:42

He did it because you said no to stroking his back.

He’s a twat.

cherrypeachparfait · 07/10/2023 08:58

He sounds selfish

Aquamarine1029 · 07/10/2023 09:02

Where do so many women on MN find these insufferable twats? He should be grateful you didn't kill him.

CacenCaws · 07/10/2023 11:17

I would be furious!

Woodlandwalkswithmydog · 07/10/2023 17:59

Thanks all

Not my hormones then, ?I thought as much.

I sent a txt and he replied saying sort your hormones out crank.

But has since apologised said he won't do it again 😒

That is fucking appalling. Your husband is an abusive misogynist. Raise the bar and get rid of this disgusting man.
