Clean bedding

There's newt better than climbing into bed with nice clean fresh sheets at bedtime but it just seems a little unusual whilst out for the day DH changed them without being asked. A task which has never been undertaken off his own back in the 3 years we've lived together. Makes me wonder if he's got something to hide??? 🤔

Might have had a wank and made a mess or split something on it.

I'd be very suspicious too. My DH hasn't changed the bedding without being asked in 30 years ....

Probs a pot noodle disaster watching this morning. Must have been interesting this morning, said no one ever.

My first thought would have been spilled coffee or food in the bed or had a wank and made a mess.

I'd be super suspicious as dh never does this either. He's been known to drop coffee on the sheets and the cats have puked on the sheets, but even then he is unlikely to wash, fold, dry and put away.

When mine did this he had been eating crisps in bed and had knocked over a can of coke. Because he’s an animal.

It is a bit odd that he washed, dried and put it all away but on its own I wouldn’t be worried.

Is there any history of any other shady behaviour or being caught in lies etc as that would make a difference to whether I felt it was a bit off.

Have you asked him why he did it OP? I would ask casually but pay very close attention to his response, body language etc, you will likely be able to tell if he lies.

My first instinct would be to think he'd had a wank and made a mess. However, I've got no reason to suspect anything untoward. Do you have any other suspicions?

...and to those saying wanks... no way. Guys are pro at this. They've been practicing since they were 12. They have a routine and everything. Unless you've got black silk sheets where a stain would show up, no guy would change the sheets if he 'missed' that one time out of 1000.

He’s shit the bed, or is having an affair. If it was just a spill he would tell you about it, not try and hide it by doing the laundry. He’s either ashamed, or he’s guilty.

Have you a reason to not trust him or suspect him of being unfaithful OP?
