Professor Jane Monckton-Smith says when she trains police, she teaches that when a coercive partner threatens suicide, they actually mean murder.

It’s on a podcast, she’s introduced as a leading researcher into coercive control. I’ll put a link (hopefully), she’s interviewed in episode 7 https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/over-my-dead-body/id1447892344?i=1000628859300

I’ve never heard this before, terrifying. How many threads on here where woman are worried about the welfare of their abuser when they leave.
