I need to fix myself

Hey guys. Has anyone on this group cheated on their partner and felt so guilty. And need to fix themselves. I need advice. I can't lose what I have. I hate myself

I haven't ( unless you count drunken kisses as a teenager) but what I would say is that this is unlikely to be all on you. It's not ideal but what led you to this point and what positive can you take from it?

Oh this is defo all on me. And what makes it hard to understand is that I am happy with life with my partner. There must be a physchological reason. I'm trying to find a therapist. But they are expensive.

The temptation is to punish yourself. Try to forgive yourself. Your silver lining is that it's reiterated how important your relationship is to you. You will probably be stronger for this. I would also explore what led you to cheat. If you were 100% happy it probably wouldn't have happened. Not an excuse but worth exploring to make sure you can fix what was missing so you can be confident it won't happen again. Therapy is expensive but you may only need a few sessions just to talk through this and if you can afford a few it's a good form of self care.

Well I know the yearn for a child is so strong. I feel like I have a hole in my heart. I had three miscarriages with a previous partner. Now I feel like I don't deserve children because I'm not a nice person . Me and my partner are talking about kids. I still don't know why I did it.
