We've been together for six months and get on so well and he says he cares about me, but I told him I love him and he admitted he still loves his ex. I'm heartbroken. Is there a chance this will change?

He's a commitment- phobe, if we take him T face value of what he says - which could be BS. It's the 6 month mark, around the time where you shit or get off the pot. He wants to get off, but he's making you do it by saying stuff that would end it for most people.
