Return of libido...

Can anyone else relate?

Early 50's still in good condition menopausal woman with no libido whatsoever for many years... (previously very high)... after ending my awful marriage a few months ago my body is all fired up again! I'm a single parent, work full time and don't ever stop. But I've been dreaming about having sex, my body has come back to life and it's really taken me by surprise.

There is still hope!

I'm 53, through menopause etc. thought I lost mine, broke up with long term partner and it came back. Came to the conclusion it wasn't me, I just wasn't feeling it with him...

@TeaNotDinner I think you've hit the nail on the head. I'm so happy after thinking that side of me was gone forever. Kept thinking I'm never going to meet anyone else if I've got no libido!

betterthaneverr nothing stopping you now 😊

I left my exH at 40, not menopausal, no sex drive. Once the divorce was finalised I felt the first flutters of libido... turns out the only thing wrong with my sex life was doing it with the wrong guy. I have a new guy now and we are like happy sex bunnies!!

Can completely relate to this, hadn't had sex in 2 years. Finally plucked up the courage to end things. Am seeing someone else, wow, the sex is awesome and daily 👏

Good news all around!! For anyone else out there it's not you! Wink

Oh god yes!

Didn't have sex for years due to loss of feelings for ex.

Met new guy & it's reawakened the beast, so to speak.

I've also started using Vagifem to keep my nether regions in tip top shape.

It's so good not to have to worry about getting pregnant or periods.

You've given me (in peri, 46, single) hope that it might not all be over forever. My previously high libido has just died over the last couple of years, due to hormones and stress. Thank you, and enjoy!

Yes, me too.
Turned out I had a husband problem not a libido / post menopause drop in libido.
He cheated off and on over 36 years.
I got rid ( very very difficult) but I rediscovered my sexuality a 100 fold.
OMG.
Had therapy, discovered myself again with a whole bunch of exciting sex toys and then booked a session with a tantric sex practitioner to rid me me of any inhibitions.
Did some OLD and explored a bit more then, whilst on a trip to India, I had eye contact with a man and it was sheer lust at first sight.
He doesn't live in the UK but we meet up a very 4/5 weeks for a few days and it's mind blowing.
No need for lube as there is no dryness! I truly believe that sex for women is so based on how we feel. Yes, the partner can know which buttons to push etc but that raw sexual energy and intensity is something I'm so glad I rediscovered.
I married age 23 ( pregnant)!) and divorced aged 59.
