Undoing trauma

I've been doing a lot of reading on the topic of trauma and find it fascinating. I'm able to pinpoint certain traumatic elements in my own life (childhood, school and relationships) but don't know what I'm supposed to do next. Is recognising it enough or are there ways I can heal it? And how do I know if it is healed?

How is the trauma affecting you on a daily basis?

You know it's healed when you can think about/talk about what happened with no emotional response.
