How does title work with CM?

I’ve applied for child maintenance and want the property owned by my ex to be included in the application. He didnt declare it when they contacted him bc he has tenants who pay cash in hand. How do CM include title to a property in their assessments and how likely are they to include the property if I can’t prove the cash exchanges? He will just lie and say he owns the house but no one else lives there.

From what I've read, if the asset is worth over a certain amount (think it's about £30k) they will treat it as if it earns 8% of the value. So if house is £100k, they'll treat it as him earning £8k and use that in the calculation. I'm not sure how you could prove he was earning more than that in actual rent and the cms seemed fairly crap at dealing with this stuff.

I see, that’s interesting
