Facebook Dating

My other half has the Facebook Dating symbol on his account, where you find the symbols for market place, friend requests, home etc. I don't have it on mine. I have updated the app, reinstalled the app, changed my status to single, and am definitely over 18, so why is it on his, and not mine? The only thing I haven't done, is search for it on Facebook and create a profile. Can this just appear on anyone's FB account? Do they have to have looked at or signed up? Has FB just picked up on potential phone searches for dating apps elsewhere? It seems odd, but before I start asking questions of him, I wondered if anyone has any experience of this?

I’ve never used Facebook dating before by my all still has the symbol along the bottom, when I click on it it shows this

I saw this on my partners a while back, infact I even started a thread myself I think! It targets those who don't have a relationship status set up, could this be the case?

It's on my menu: "Climate Science Centre ... Crisis Response ... Dating ... Events ..."
I haven't signed up to anything and do not have any relationship status set up.

Just saw your comment on the other thread. If there's a number next to it then that's different and he must have signed up to get notifications. I'm sorry

I will keep an eye on it. The auto ad service in his general social media makes me worry, too. It only suggests what you've been google searching or products you've been looking at, so going to be interesting. 😳😔
