I know it's the daily fail, and shouldn't really be surprised - but so tired of this shit. Man has affair and becomes a victim - being a cool, lefty, stand-up comic doesn't give you a pass. Woe is me. It strikes me that more and more men are using this 'disguise' - or even claiming they are a feminist - in order to behave in a shitty way. It's his ex wife I feel sorry for. Gives me Philip Schofield vibes.

Bloody hell 3yr affair is more like living a double life, his poor wife having to deal with all that right after having a baby, i hope it was her decision to divorce him.

Cheaters always try to justify their poor behaviour to pass blame somehow and play the victim for sympathy to minimise the fallout as if they weren't selfish cowards they'd have delt with the issues or left the relationship. As he is here blaming career slump, booze and affair for ego stroke, but it all upset him and was suicidal so let's draw a line under it and praise him for being brave and honest in his new book to help boost his career (and publically crap on people he hurt again) 🙄

Would be interesting to know what ex-wife & affair partner think of his version of events in book as I know my ex would paint a picture that wasn't accurate.

I'm also interested in his new partner's take on it all.

Presumably she can now read the gritty details about how he betrayed a woman he made vows to and had children with - for three years.

It amazes me that woman are still prepared to be with men like him.
