Moody DP driving me mad

These past few days he’s been really moody and snappy. I asked him if something is wrong and if he wants to talk about it but he said there’s nothing wrong. He’s snapping at the kids for nothing, blaming me and talking down to me for minor things such as DS not being able to find his water bottle (then found it in his car) walking around huffing and puffing. The list has been endless recently. The mood in the house is miserable and I feel like I’m walking on egg shells with him. I feel like crying this evening and I can’t put my finger on why😞 I think I’ll just give him some space. Nice start to the weekend!

Does he get moody often?
Or is this unusual?

@Poivresel He’s always has his little moods but the way it’s been the past few days is unusual

Have there been any changes in his life?

Are things at work more stressful?
Threat of redundancy?
Is he worried about paying bills?
Is he going out more unexpectedly?
Is he suddenly on his phone more and protective of it?

If he carries this on then personally I'd be sitting him down and saying (as calm as you're able) that his moodiness and snapping is not acceptable and especially his treatment of the DCs. You're not prepared to continue putting up with it and you will NOT walk around on eggshells. He needs to explain what's bothering him or you will need to rethink the relationship.
