Scared to date again

I've been single for 6 years, i would like to start dating again but I am scared to! I don't know why exactly I just can't imagine it 😂 the thought of going online and swiping or meeting up with someone just fills me with dread. Has anyone ever felt this way? Is it normal? How do you overcome it? I dont know if its OLD that scares me or just dating in general 🤔

I wouldn't say l am scared, rather l have woken up to how over rated dating actually is.
My worst nightmare would be having to date again, l like being on my own too much. Losing my freedom would scare me more.
I wouldn't bother with OLD, mostly bored married men on there with nothing better to do. Try meeting people out and about.

OP, why isn't it possible for you meet anyone in real life? Are you just hoping for an online relationship?

Essentially, get over it by just getting on with it.

Put it into perspective. What's the worst that can happen? You don't like it and stop. All the consequences of that, would be that you're in no different position than you are now.

I'm the same and will likely go OLD route as find it hard to meet people socially. Although being a guy may be different, I dunno. I did it years ago but been a long time and no doubt changed since then. Starting over again building a relationship wise is also daunting after so long but at the same time may be nice change.

Nervous and have no idea what people are looking for but guess will have to give it a go and see what happens.
