Ending relationship before DD starts school, AIBU?

I’ve been trying to make my relationship work for a good year now. We’ve recently moved and DD is excited about starting the local school in sept after making some new friends since being here.

I’ve found myself progressively miserable and unhappy but plodding on for the sake of DD. And the fact I have no where to go, no money, no job (due to start work next month) no friends and no home. The house I’m living in is DH’s. He’s a great dad but if we were to split I can see things becoming very sour and I don’t want to put DD in the middle of it all when she’s incredibly settled here.

Should I wait it out until she’s older?

No do not wait it out until she's older. (How much older exactly?). You'll be even more unhappy and she will continue to pick up on all the vibes, both spoken and unspoken at home. Staying for the sake of the child never works out well for all concerned.

Have you as yet sought legal advice re all aspects of separating from him?. Knowledge here is power.

@AttilaTheMeerkat no, I wouldn’t even know where to begin with seeking legal advice. I just feel guilty on DD because I don’t think she even realises how unhappy I am. I’m talking another 12/13 odd years. But I know you’re 100% right in what you’re saying.

Contact some local solicitor firms in your area and seek their advice.
