If you were talking to a new partner and said that your ex had talked you out of a boob job and they said ‘that’s a shame’ what would you think?
they say it’s a shame they stopped you doing something you wanted to
bit stung a little!

He means he thinks you’d look better with a boob job. Bin him

GreyCarpet · 31/07/2023 17:27

NooNaNa · 31/07/2023 17:28

Agree.

Dj2020 · 31/07/2023 20:53

Yeah I'd be annoyed and pretty sure I'd get the instant ick and bin him.

MrsTerryPratchett · 31/07/2023 20:55

If he instantly followed up with "because it's your body and he doesn't get to tell you what to do" he's saveable. If not, he's not.

I do wonder why you were having this conversation though. Sounds like a fishing trip. I mean what IS the right response?

Palacelife · 31/07/2023 21:29

I can’t remember how but we’d been talking about lap dancing clubs and I’d mentioned that my ex had dated a dancer once. We then got on to boob jobs and how in that environment it would be hard not to, that particular girl had regretted it etc
so it was a wider conversation.

I know how I would feel about this comment, but how do you feel?

Palacelife · 31/07/2023 21:40

@MrsTerryPratchett i had a similar conversation with someone who’d told me they’d changed their mind on the way to an op, I said I thought they were more attractive for not having anything done
but it’s a tricky one I guess as it is up to the individual

OP posts:

@growgrowinggrown actually not too bad. I was a little upset when I thought what others have but it’s a part of a wider pattern of things that make me a bit uncomfortable and I’m not sure if I want to be with someone who has that effect on me (whether it’s my fault or not)
