Blocked on what’s app ? Unsure

Just looking for some clarification
My ex who I have a lot of history with and need to maintain contact with … long story but I’ve Noticed his what’s app Dosent show last seen or online any more , I def don’t think it’s personal to me and I can still see his profile pic but my question is if his settings for profile pic is for everyone to see can I still be blocked or maybe he has change his settings for his last seen status for other reasons ? I’m def not going to question him on this as things are bad enough

You wouldn't see his profile if you were blocked, he's just updated his settings.

U can change your "last seen" status or turn off completely. Sounds like he has done the latter. He won't be able to see when ppl were last online either . Hope that helps

He has updated his privacy settings, might have blocked everyone from seeing him online etc or maybe just you

It's just a setting you can turn off if you want, it means no one will be able to see when he was last online 😄

I thought a recent ex had blocked me as I couldn’t see the last seen anymore. I googled and apparently sometimes you can still see profile photo until it’s changed then you don’t see the recent changed one. That’s what it said so I accused him of blocking me (via work IM). He eventually replied 3wks later saying he had just seen the message (this was 3.45 and he claimed to have just seen it on a works laptop in middle of night?!) and he wouldn’t be so stupid as to block me blah blah. I could then see his last seen status so he hadn’t turned it off. I didn’t check after that first time if I could see his last seen as I archived him as I was angry he blocked me. Still think that he did. Funny how I can now see his last seen

My friend on WhatsApp never shows the last seen and we message daily. Wouldn’t worry about it.

Click on his profile picture.

If it goes grey after a second, you’re blocked. If it doesn’t you’re not.

This has changed recently, the profile picture used to grey out immediately once you were blocked. Now in some cases it stays visible until you click it.

click on it once until you get this screen, then click it again so it goes full screen and see what happens.

Sounds like he’s just changed his settings so you can’t see online/last seen then.

If the picture is there you’re definitely not blocked.

The Last seen & online privacy setting is either set to nobody or my contact except & you have been selected blocked from seeing this
