How do I ask DH without him getting defensive?

I’m fairly sure DH no longer fancies me or notices me in that way - I can be all dressed up, or wearing cute underwear or actually just naked and it’s like he doesn’t see it anymore. He never passionately kisses me. Our sex life feels regimental - always on a Friday night after sharing a few drinks together. The passion and excitement seems to have gone for him. I try and talk to him about it and he gets defensive and says that of course he is attracted to me still. How do I ask him about it and why things have changed without him getting annoyed/ upset? I just want the truth.

Oh and before anyone asks I’m sure he isn’t cheating.

How long have you been together? Sometimes it can get a bit stale or couples become complacent, so compliments aren't as forthcoming. But it's nice to feel appreciated and desired isnt it? I'd not let him squirm out of it and tell him he needs to make you feel more wanted.

I think that’s going to be tricky as most married men would probably say the same to avoid upsetting their wives.

The only thing I can think of would be some less direct questions,
maybe ask him why he doesn’t kiss you, or why he only wants sex on Friday?

Try asking him what his fantasies are and try playing up to them.
