Im coming up to 40 rapidly and started a relationship on a dating site 8 months ago. All was rosy at the beginning and we seemed to really click. I thought this would be the one I could quickly settle down with and maybe have a miracle baby before my time is over. (Not sure if thats already past). We booked a holiday together for my best friends wedding in Hawaii in September which he has paid for entirely. However over the last few months his consistency and lack of enthusiasm is really not acceptable and ive tried expressing this in a kind way and discussing my boundaries. He hasnt acyed on this and things remain distant. Id normally accept defeat and check out but becaise of this holiday im holding off. Is this silly should I just get it over and done with and sort the holiday separately?
