We're off to town tomorrow to buy a b'day gift for my difficult, controlling mil.

Haven't time to ask her what she's like, has anyone got any ideas(£10-£15)

a great big wooden spoon?

minouminou · 15/02/2008 22:23

How about that special one-way flight to Zurich - the fantasy of which keeps me out of prison?

BearMama · 15/02/2008 23:26

A scarf - a really boring bland one that's just elegant enough but made of something nasty like acrylic or polyester so not too expensive.

Depending on how she makes you - get it from a charity shop and wrap it in tissue paper so it looks posh.

Then spend the rest on something nice for yourself

bigboydiditandranaway · 16/02/2008 19:18

bigboydiditandranaway · 17/02/2008 07:40

cocolepew, ta you've just made me smile, i've been feeling so emotional recently with being pregnant and having vile pil doesn't help.
