i'm that my friend has just asked the bloke she is seeing this. if someone asked me i would find it very rude. i suppose if i was in an actual relationship i wouldn't mind too much and would expect it to come up at some point.

I know DP ahs only slept with 2 people before me, he however knows that I have slept with between * and * and that's it. He doesnt need to know exact numbers and I shant tell him.

yes but only in the sense of " have you slept with:

a few?

lots and lots (which is fine as long as the practice benefits me in the long run)

anything and everything that moves? In which case I would say that indicates no respect for themselves or others and that would put me right off.

Just reading through the thread and people are talking STD's, I think it is reasonable if you are planning on having unprotected sex with someone exactly how many people they have slept with without using condoms.

No. I don't know a number for DH, but I could probably make a pretty good educated guess.

One Valentine's day years ago DH and I were at a restaurant and the couple on the next table (I'd estimate from general demeanour they were probably on around the third date) were obviously having a conversation along these lines. Phrases like "well, it depends what you mean by a one night stand" were floating about. It was oddly gripping (not deliberately eavesdropping, but they were packing them in that night so you couldn't really avoid overhearing nearby conversations).

Depends rosa, if that one had never slept with someone unprotected before and/or had been tested then no.

I have children with another man so obviously I have slept with him without protection, but only him and had been tested when we split because I found out he had been shagging around so depends on the situation IMO.

if a person's had unprotected sex then they need to be tested whether it was one or 500.

My then to be husband happened to mention that he could count the women he had slept with on one hand. I said that I could count the men ihad slept with on my hands, and toes. I don't think it has much influence on your present relationship unless you have had so many lovers just to massage your own ego.

I probably would if I was ever to split with dh as he has been my one and only (and me his)
