Does anyone pay for Plenty of Fish?

Hello,
I have tried Bumble and Tinder and paid for both but not getting anywhere. I joined POF last night but wouldn’t pay and actually put this in my profile so people would know to message me. I have hundreds of likes that I can’t see and no-one has messaged!
Im reluctant to pay so much out.
Do I really need to pay? What happens if I like someone who has liked me? Will I then see them?
Im female. 50 but look younger.

Does it work now that you can only message each other if it's a mutual 'like'?

If that's the case op, you be best off completely ignoring how many 'likes' you get, as everyone will just swipe right on everyone to avoid paying for messages. They'll only make the decision/actually look at your profile if it's mutual.

You won't see your likes. You need to message someone and they'll potentially message you back. Long term user of POF, Bumble etc!

Don't bother paying for dating sites, it's a waste of money in my experience.

Facebook dating is free
Bumble is near enough useless without paying
POF is free to message

It's worse quality than tinder and bumble imo, try hinge

I pay for POF and hide my profile much of the time. I wouldn’t bother trying to use it free, if you pay you can see ‘likes’ and also see who hasn’t read the profile.
Had some success lately. Most profiles say ‘can’t see likes’ and I think ‘cheapskate, it’s 50p per day!’

I can see who 'likes' me without paying.

Not with POF - you can message without the mutual like.
