Need some advice on my dating life

I been on a lot of apps and never get any matches. Should I just give up on trying to find any one date? I am 35 years old, don’t really have a lot of friends. I moved away from home for work and don’t know anyone where I live now.

I'd do some 1 day courses, go to walking groups, join a club or two. Meet people; you might meet someone.

Find a hobby that is a group activity and double up on finding friends and dates

How many profiles are you liking in order to get a match? Two or three a day would make it a long shot, you would need to put in the time. Ask someone online to have a look at your profile for you and make suggestions.

Go to nice places and make an effort to have someone take a photo, even if you need to ask staff, they are used to being asked. Make sure the photos are clear, not too harsh lighting, thoughtfully put together hair makeup an outfit…

The more effort you put into this, the better the results.

I assume your profile is 2 lines of abbreviations and emojis and you have a picture or 2 on your profile.
Are your criteria too specific so you’re cutting out potential matches because they’re an inch shorter than your ideal?
