  1. He's my best friend; soul mate; partner for life.
  2. I can't stand the man

Seriously, it actually worries me how lucky I have been to have met and married him- I am scared that I couldn’t be that lucky and something bad will happen to him.

chelle0 · 23/10/2022 02:02

Ultimately, 1. But some days 2.

Thatisme · 23/10/2022 02:09

I'd say mine is a 1.70, not quite a 2 but not far off

Always. We are 32 years in.

Are you OK, OP?

tallullabluebella · 23/10/2022 02:47

about a 1.25

1 absolutely 1. He’s the most incredible
human I have ever met. I’m blown away every day by the strength of my love for him. (It does have its downsides as I do worry about how I would be if something happened to him).

UnwantedOpinionBelow · 23/10/2022 03:22
  1. He's the best person I have met and my rock
Bluebellandpansies · 23/10/2022 03:26

2.75. Then 1 every blue moon. Life...

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/10/2022 03:37

He's 2/3 of 1 and none of 2.

He's not my best friend, but I'd like him around forever and he's definitely my favourite man. I love him a great deal. Every now and again I want a new patio but it's rare.

YouCanSpeakWhenYoureMakingSense · 23/10/2022 05:41

1 absolutely

Great post.
Hard to put a definite answer as one is almost saying he is everything to your being.
My husband is awesome and I don't want anything to change but he is not the centre of my universe.

Shoxfordian · 23/10/2022 06:59

1 but he’s not my friend and I don’t believe in soulmates, we have a great happy marriage though

This ^^

We've been together 30 years, I know him like the back of my hand.

FourChimneys · 23/10/2022 07:29
  1. He is my best friend and has been for about 35 years. The kindest, wisest and most thoughtful man I have ever known.
WarblingEttie · 23/10/2022 07:37

Can't we just have more moderate choices? Like ... I love him a lot, most of the time I like him, sometimes he irritates me and very occasionally I detest him. And he feels the same.

SallyWD · 23/10/2022 08:22

There's something between 1 and 2, you know! I feel I could (perhaps) have got a man better suited to me. We are very different and sometimes there's a personality clash. We never really argue but bicker over silly things. However, despite this we love each other, we have each others backs. He's a good man, family orientated, kind and reasonable. I can talk to him about anything. We enjoy our life together and our family unit.

MrsTimRiggins · 23/10/2022 08:30

1 I guess altho calling him my best friend seems reductive of our bond, I don’t believe in soulmates and.. no wait, partner for life is fair, we’re married so he’s stuck with me (hopefully!)
that is certainly not to say he never irritates me but he’s such a good man. He adores me, and DS, and takes care of us all so well.

ZooMount · 23/10/2022 08:49

He is genuinely my best friend and my favourite person. Yes he does my head in sometimes but only in the same way my children do. We are a team and family.

100% the same for me too!

Montana1612 · 23/10/2022 09:04

Closer to 1 than 2 but we definitely have our ups and downs and he can annoy the crap out of me. When we’re having a good day we are inseparable though

Sausagedognamedmash · 23/10/2022 09:05

Somewhere between the two. Today closer to a 2, most of the time closer to a 1. We are in a rough patch at the moment and are struggling but as we are usually much closer to 1s than 2s, we will get back to that place.

  1. He wasn't always like this though.
