I have emailed the samaritans; they always email back within 24 hours (although it is often quicker). It is different people each time, although in my experience they have nearly all read the full emails first.

Just wondered if samaritans were for uk only?

I don't think so - I emailed from a gmail account and so I shouldn't think they knew where I was from.
