Take away to someone else address?

The other day, myself and my other half decided to order a take out Chinese from a place local but that we had from before but not for a while. The website auto saves the address and credit card similar to how just eat would. He passed me his phone to input my order, so I did then continued to checkout to find another address already on there, it’s his account, his credit card, but some one else’s full address, door number, street, post code. This address was a few estates away from us so not exactly a auto input from location services as it’s too far away, - I’d understand if it put on automatically next doors address or something. He brushed it under the carpet immediately saying “oh dunno why that’s there”
I memories the postcode and door number and obviously google mapped it to ensure it was an address. I even drove past the house, a mini parked outside, flowers in the window, so it’s actually a place.
Has he previously ordered a take away there or is this a simple technical error? Should I be worried?

How long have you been together? This happened to me recently and I was like who the fuck is that address in my account... and it was from someone I dated briefly probably 7 years ago. Id forgotten all about him and where he lived!

Flowerpot101 · 31/08/2022 21:39

12 years! We have ordered form there many times so if anyones address should be saved it should be ours - plus is card details which are relatively new

My phone saves addresses across all devices/websites so it doesn’t mean he’s ordered takeaway there. But it’s been entered at some point…. Ask him.

Cakeandcoffee93 · 31/08/2022 21:47

His reaction says it all- knock on the door and see who answers. Be like I’m so and so with blah blah blah and see there reaction. If it’s a woman and mortified- you’ll know lol. Just be like I had a parcel lost is it here etc

Flowerpot101 · 31/08/2022 21:47

But the address was saved on the take away account. Already inputted, like when it saves you details for next time for ease.

I thought of this but I haven’t got the b*lls so to speak. But at the same time how on earth could that address got there!

Can you go with a friend?

SouperNoodle · 31/08/2022 21:52

If it's there it means he's ordered from there before. It's unlikely to be a technical error xx

Hagnarok · 31/08/2022 21:52

Could he have been out at or with mates and ordered to their house?

Do you really think? This was my gut feeling but could it definitely not be a random error. I can’t for the life of me think when he would find time for a take away at some one else’s house though, at an address that I know nothing of. 😩

He must have ordered to that address. For sure.
It's an odd reaction and sorry to tell you, I think he's lied to you. Otherwise he would have been worried someone ordered a take away for free with his account. He wouldn't have shrugged it off.
You need to bring it up again and get to the bottom of it.

custardbear · 31/08/2022 22:06

Could it be a friends house? I'd be a bit 👀 if not as does sound a bit dodgy

If it's a new card then he's been there very recently

I should bring to up, but I daren’t bring it up. I don’t want to look stupid if I’m totally wrong and it is a technical error also he will deny it. Maybe I should gather more evidence some how.

Is the address on the electoral roll?

roses2 · 31/08/2022 22:17

Is there an order history you can look up on the account?

Hagnarok · 31/08/2022 22:18

Maybe he's ordered on behalf of someone a friend, work colleague etc. If money is tight for you as a family he maybe didn't want to mention it. I've ordered a takeaway before for a work colleague who'd been having a hard time to give them a break.

Have you told him it's worrying you and that you think his account may have been hacked and if so he needs to cancel his card.

Flowerpot101 · 31/08/2022 22:19

So it’s not just me then, I do have a genuine reason to believe he’s been having take aways with someone else at someone else’s house. He goes out every Tuesday night to his mates house, there’s a bunch of them that get together, I even drop him off there sometimes. Surely his mates wouldn’t knowingly allow him to leave their weekly get together to go to some other woman while they know I’m at home with the kids.

I had slightly similar once. I went to the house and when a woman answered I said very innocently and chirpily that I was looking for <ex bf name >. Obviously I knew he didn't live there but her response made it clear she knew of him. I said I was his friend and asked directly if she did know him. She said yes. I then told her I was his gf of x years. He was cheating with her.

Itstimetoquit · 31/08/2022 22:19

It doesn't look good, obviously he's ordered to that address x

Money is fine with us. He owns his own small business, I know all his staff and where they live. I know where his mates live. His circle isn’t that big either.
