Worried about his health

My friend and I have been getting quite close and there is romantic potential there. He added me to a group chat and in there he told everyone he had gone for a CT scan and he has health issues he does not want to discuss but admitted that one of the people in the chat had been supportive to him. He has not told me anything about going for a scan or any health issues. I only found this out as he posted about it a few days ago and I was nosying through the chat from before I joined. I am worried about him and wonder how serious his health issues are if he has gone for a CT scan. He smokes a lot which probably does not help. I don't know if I should ask as him not telling me means he may not want me knowing.

He'll tell you if you end up close enough. A lot of guys are really private about this sort of thing unless it is a partner or a very longstanding friend.

If he's posted about it on the group though then you can casually drop it into the conversation - I really wouldn't push though
