Happy 2nd Marriage/Relationships

Has anyone had a positive tale of their second marriage being better than the first? I'm seriously contemplating leaving the father of my daughter but am worried about how things would be after I left whether I'd meet someone else and ease risky be happier than I am now...

We weren’t married, but I met my ex when I was 16 and was with him for 11 years. By the end I was utterly miserable and never thought happiness was possible. Just a year later I met my now DH and I’m very happy every day (not all day every day but every day!). My DH was married before, divorced for three years when we met. He and his ex-w co parent well and she and I get along, she’s also remarried. Both admit that they were just a bad match for each other, but a great one for the people they are with now.

I'm gloriously happy in a second marriage (22 years) after 13 years of misery with a wanker. Life is too short to stick with misery if you are seriously unhappy.

On the other hand, it it's just a case of wondering if the grass is greener then no one can tell you.

My first marriage ended after 2 years when he had an affair with a colleague with hindsight we should've probably never have got married as things weren't all hearts and flowers for us but I was mid 20s and wanted a lovely wedding. Aged 30 I met my now DH and because of the mistakes I made the first time around and having spent the years in between happily single I didn't just want a wedding I wanted a marriage and that's exactly what I've got, a lovely happy marriage.
