What are the little things that they do that you appreciate.

DH has just said he’s going to de-ice my car.

I like that, my DP will get out of bed and do that for me too. Even though he doesn't need to get up until an hour after me.
Makes me cups of tea without being asked. He sewed and mended a tear in my sons school jacket the other day, and I was well impressed. He did say " don't tell anyone it was me" with a smile, it goes against his image as a rugby player.
The little things do count

My fiancé got up early and cleaned all of downstairs yesterday as he knew the mess was getting me down (I've got a 5week old and it's a achievement if I even manage to shower at the moment)!

He makes me cups of tea without being asked, and he always tries to make me feel included in group conversations (I am hard of hearing so it can be difficult)

So many little things! Sensing I'm stressed before I even say anything because I apparently itch my head lol! So he gives me a big cuddle before I've even told him somethings bothering me. Running me a bath at the end of a busy day with bubbles & candles. Making me a cup of tea when he's working from home, in time for me getting back from work. Yesterday we were out with the kids and he said he was nipping to the loo...he ran back to quickly give me a kiss two seconds later. Shouts "I LOVE YOU" down the street to me when I leave for work lol..embarrassing! Taking the bins out because I mentioned ONCE I hate doing it. If I have a problem - he's trying to fix it. My love language isn't acts of service but it's really lovely having someone so helpful xx

Brings me tea in bed every morning, cooks my supper every night. These are not little things, they are EVERYTHING to me - and he knows it!

forlornlorna · 21/03/2022 08:42

Took his socks off his feet and put them on mine because I said I had cold feet

Ok some people might think that's rank lol

My husband always makes us both a drink when he gets in from work (although I'm home, on sick leave until September).
He used to always do the sewing in our house - especially when our sons were boys, he'd take up their trousers or sew buttons on their shirts

My fella is the most unromantic fella ever
However he is always making me cups of tea (about ten to my one)
I’ve broken my knee and he’s been running round after me-if I need the loo,I have to climb upstairs
Without fail he’s got up and walked either in front of me or behind me so if I fall,I’ll have a soft landing
He picks up my shoes and puts them away for me-just dumping my shoes where they land is a very bad habit
I suffer with eczema so he lets me rub my feet on his legs even though it can’t feel nice
My adult children adore him-they are always ganging up on me and it’s lovely to see them as a little gang

He drives me bonkers but it’s the little things that matter

He cooks my dinner every night (I cook for DC before he gets home from work)
He always remembers my favourite treats when he does the food shop (Jaffa cakes and Pringles 😋)

My very favourite thing he did was get me tickets to see Take That (for the 5th time) Blush and he came with me and suffered through the whole concert Grin he didn’t join in the ‘Never Forget’ routine so he’s not completely perfect but I’ll let him off! He’s a good egg.

IfIHadAHeart · 21/03/2022 09:21

If he gets out of bed before me he tucks the quilt in around me and then puts a pillow or two along my back so I still feel like I’m being cuddled. Sometimes it wakes me but I think it’s so sweet it just makes me smile. Or the way he kisses the top of my head. He always knows by my voice when I’ve had a bad day and is usually armed with my favourite chocolate to cheer me up.

Always brings me a treat back from the supermarket, flowers or some exotic fruit.

Brings me tea in bed every morning. I have been ill recently and he is a fantastic nurse, really thoughtful.

I run my own business and he takes a keen interest and is proud of successes without ever trying to tell me how to do things.

My DP is just a good egg. Always makes me a cup of tea first thing. Does his fair share of cooking and cleaning. Always comes back from the shops with my favourite treats and if I'm poorly he's the best nurse. He listens so patiently to my parents who can go on a bit at times 🙈and the way he cares for his own mum is just lovely. He shows his affection readily, gives the tightest hugs and best forehead kisses. He's an absolute tiger in bed too. He reminds me every day how loved I am. He thinks he's the lucky one too but I know otherwise 😌
