I've just been out for a walk with my dogs. Get home and see there's been an out going call that I didn't place. It says 'Moon'

As I'm clicking it to see what's going on I accidentally call it again and put it down before answered.

I check my contacts and there it is. 'Moon'

No idea WTF that is.

So I Google.

This comes up for general...

But then I clicked on images.

Wtf.

What is moon? Why is that number in my phone and saved as moon? No one touches my phone except my 10 year old to play games occasionally.

When I go on the contact it says its a 'merged contact' wtf does that mean?

Nobody. I wouldn't even know how to do that

Is your Bluetooth on? Could someone have hotspotted off your phone?

Do you have any other device that you are logged into an account that's also logged in on your phone? Like Gmail or something?

That would potentially merge your contacts if it was saved on say your work mobile or a tablet.

Why it's showing an outgoing call on your actual phone though I don't know. Unless you pocket dialled it maybe?

Maybe a pocket dial but I've never noticed Moon before. I thought when I saw it I had pocket dialled a takeaway

Looked them up on WhatsApp and it says xyz company.

On their company website from 2015 the contact email is Moon@xyz

And business nothing to do with escorts

Possibly but I've had this phone about 2 years now and don't remember a Moon from before that either.

Do you have an email app on your phone? What is your home computer situation? A shared desktop or laptop at all?

@WTFisthisabouthuh it could be a previous contact you know that changed sim provider so that sim (i.e the phone number) is being used by someone else now, which is Moon. But who knows!

I'd ask your DP if he has any ideas...

Android phones use Google. If anyone else has used the same Google account - cos it's shared or accidentally because their phone/device is logged in - then it will share the contacts across the devices. Someone else is logged into your Google account. You should be able to see who is logged in on your phone / Google account settings.

Google account settings will show who else/which number is logged into yours (shared data). The wording underneath the photos of the women says 'escorts'. See who else is sharing your data as its likely to be them.
