So i have had a first date with a guy and its going great, i just don't know how to act as i haven't been dating for a while and toxic relationships have confused me alot on how to go about it. Do i let him chase me at the start or act to let him know i'm interested? I don't want to play games but also don't want to come across as too available

Be yourself. It's easier than trying to act.

If you have plans don't cancel them but you don't have to pretend you're not free if you are and if you want to see him.

Just treat him like you'd treat a new friend. Please don't play games (unless you'd think it's OK for him to do the same). Be honest. If you want another date, tell him. Don't do all the running, but don't expect to be 'chased'.

Just do you. Don't act.

Match his energy.

Also keep sone perspective. It’s been one date so you barely know him. Don’t build him up in your head as the one. Continue to put the sane effort and energy into other aspects of your life

If your relationships have been problematic in the past, have you done the freedom programme??

Read some of the dating books - The Rules, Why Men Love Bitches, He Had Me at Hello -

...and then just kind of take a little bit from these books - really, they are all telling you to be yourself. Why Men Love Bitches is really good - just be yourself - don't be someone you're not because you can't sustain that.
