female sexuality - male parade

Is it not different from the male point of view on the subject?

If you want to find erotic photographs of men will you not find that if the men are trying to pose in the same way that women do it is not appealling? And that somehow - this is not really attractive to the woman? Maybe to the gays?

Can anybody send me to an online site where men look attractive in another way that I describe? By being men with some sexual subtlety?

By having the testosterone work its magic in a different way. Possibly that they are actually DOING something - rather than just parading. Why is it not the same? Or am I so indoctrinated as to feel that if men display their sexuality TOO overtly - it is no longer a turn-on?

I am a bit confused as to why I do not find it attractive when men parade?

oh crikey moses

holidaywonk · 30/12/2007 17:31

I think the stock response is that men are more easily turned on by visuals than women are, but I don't know whether there is much research to support that.

pmsl @ capp.

Go and see Casino Royale or pop down the local firestation!
It is pretty normal for men to like to look at women displaying themselves and for women to be impressed/turned on by men doing impressive stuff (fighting fires, rescuing fair maidens, earning billions). Expect it is genetic or something.

stickyj · 30/12/2007 17:32

Eeerm, what?

mamazontopofsanta · 30/12/2007 17:35

the reason you find male nudity pretty much dull as dishwater is because it is shot by men. they have no idea what a woman actually wants and therefore shoots the pictures in the way they THINK the women want to see them...ie exactly the same way they pose women for men.

I also second the idea to get firefighter calenders and such like. we don't necessarily find the male body the turn on, its the idea of the masculinity and heroism behind that tonned body that is the turn on.

i found myself getting rather hot under teh coller flicking through a friends snaps of his army chums hwne he returned from Afghan recently. nothing at all posed or sexual but boy did it work for me lol

The only 'sexy pic' of a guy I've ever cut out and kept is one of a fully clothed Russian soldier carrying a loaf of bread and lighting a cigarette. The no shit, don't give a fuck look on his face is the sexiest thing about it (of course he's gorgeous too lol). Baby oiled calendar guys do nothing for me.

Monkeytrousers · 30/12/2007 19:12

Hi Fern, I remember you from last year. How are things going with your DH?

DavidTennantsMistress · 30/12/2007 19:13

mama santa - it soon gets old after washing the kit every day for 5 years - trust me! lol.

you want pics which were shot by women - I ahve some on email thou - no idea where they came from origionally.

Monkeytrousers · 30/12/2007 19:15

Just read the op and I had to LOL. I kind of find those ads in the supplimenst like that - far too gay! I dunno, think is you have to fancy the bloke and I think it's a bit more complicated with women as they are attracted to status as well as looks, and this just isn't so believable in ad's where we know we are being lied to. A lovely pair of pecs or knockers are more 'honest' signals if you like, but blokes will on average like all nice knockers and women will need something more than just nice pecs...maybe?

lou33 · 30/12/2007 19:16

this thread is calling out for pics of hot men, you know.......

Monkeytrousers · 30/12/2007 19:17

I have never gotten this mass hysteria that occurs with male strippers either! What is going on there? I just think, you really don't know where he's been!

Monkeytrousers · 30/12/2007 19:19

One pic of Keanu to objectify coming up!

ChrissyMissy · 30/12/2007 19:26

I think as someone else has pointed out on this thread, men are more visual than women. Men get turned on by a pair of breasts - any breasts will do .

I dont get the male stipper thing either .

no I have PD - just resist the urge - you never know where they've been

Monkeytrousers · 30/12/2007 19:59

Well just being less visual doesn't have to mean not visual at all, does it? Just less. People always make those kind of assumptions though, when people say women aren't as promiscuous as men, they immediatly think yiou are saying women are frigid. There is a HUGE middle ground there.

..Now, about that Keanu pic..

Monkeytrousers · 30/12/2007 20:07

You know I think eye contact might have a lot to do with it, hence the phenomenon that was Colin Firth as Mr darcy. But again, if you don't fancy them, then then it's just creepy

Monkeytrousers · 30/12/2007 20:15

Wet Reeves

or slightly, erm, damp

Running Reeves

Shaniece · 30/12/2007 20:18

Monkeytrousers · 30/12/2007 20:20

onebatmotherofgoditschilly · 30/12/2007 20:43

Keanu? Keanu?!
Are you lot not aware that Noel Fielding and Russell Brand are on the Big Fat Quiz of the Year again tonight, 9pm, Channel 4? Flirtign with each other? Perhaps even touching? in TEN minutes?
Let's get our priorities right, please!
