Didn’t want to read and run OP. Not alone but a lot less then usual.

Feels very strange. I did notice Casablanca then Meet me in St Louis are on the tv tomorrow afternoon if that helps? Two great films that will steal some hours away.

Here if you need a chat 😊

I’ll be alone for most of it, though I’ve volunteered to work for the afternoon. Im looking forward to call
the midwife, and a walk with the dogs! I’m a single parent too, and it’s strange being with out them!

LincolnCathedral · 24/12/2021 23:32

I’ll be alone from mid afternoon until lunchtime Boxing Day. I’m not looking forward to it so much but it’s a better option than the alternative.
Sending thoughts to all who are alone this Christmas for whatever reason .

Got a nice posh restaurant in a box meal for lunch. Lovely cheese selection for tea. Saved a film I want to watch, and a book I want to read. Just hoping not to get called into work.

My third one alone. Lie in, long bath, out for a park walk, back for hot chocolate, TV, reading, snoozing, eating. All my family live in Australia and time difference makes it difficult to communicate, already done messages. Good job I've got my cat to keep me company, it can be lonely but it's just another day for me.

Toddlerteaplease · 24/12/2021 23:42

I've gone to my favourite city for first vespers and midnight mass. Having a huge premier inn breakfast in the morning. Then driving over to my favourite cathedral for choral evensong. Was supposed to be with my parents but they are anxious about covid so cancelled me.

ilovesooty · 24/12/2021 23:42

I'm going out for a 4 course fixed price Christmas curry. I've loads of TV to catch up with and two cats for company. I'll be on my own on Boxing Day as well unless my friend is testing negative by then.

Ooh love your plans #nocoolnamesleft. Have a lovely day freeandfierce

Im ok with being by myself. I realise that some aren't and it's always good to know that people aren't alone.

Happy Christmas to you all

I'll be on my own in the evening and all day boxing day, im looking forward to just relaxing, listening to some music with a lie in on boxing day. Perfect for me after all the stress of the run up to Christmas. You'll be ok OP if you want to chat I'll be about

Sleeping in and reading in bed for most of the morning. Nice long walk if the weather plays along but it's looking like rain around here. Possibly phone calls to single friends elsewhere in the pm or the 26th. Had planned on midnight mass tonight but lazed around instead. For food, got myself a lovely Cornish hen for tomorrow and duck breast the day after, and a grand cru Bordeaux to go along. TV's utter crap both days as usual but I still have nearly 10 hrs of recordings left to go through, and there's always Prime (although a lot of the more Christmassy stuff is sadly only available in clunky dubbed versions around here, damn the greedy bastards for skimping on licensing fees.)
