How long before you met the family?

As per the title, how long before you met your partners parents/siblings etc?

First date. He took me to a family party!

3 months, for my FIL birthday weekend

With DH it was six months but that was because we lived quite a way from them. I met everyone in one go. Grandparent, parents, brother, aunties, uncles, thousands of cousins at an anniversary dinner.

With ex dp never in 4 years which is why he's an ex. With dh he took me to meet them the first time I visited him, he lived in another country to me.

9 months, they live abroad, so it was a case of the first time they visited the UK or the first time we travelled there. I met his little brother after four months as he comes to the UK in the summer to stay with my husband for a few weeks.

I think where everyone lives in terms of proximity plays a huge factor in this.

Four and a half years, but in fairness, they lived in a different country from where we were living and in a very traditional society where we couldn't really travel together until we were married!

2 years. They were in a different country but only 1 hr flight away. Culturally they tend not to make family intros until it's quite serious. I got fed up after a while. We split. We got back together and he introduced me.

2 months

I met his parents 4.5 months in as they live in the same city as us. My family live further away and he met them at 7 months.

His kids 3 months (they are older teens), his family 10 months (covid)

2 months. We met in October and we spent Christmas with both of our families.
