Um - I would prefer focusing on concrete action like tougher sentencing on violent and Sex offenders. Consider chemical castration as a condition for earlier release. Ban violent pornography - ie treat it like child pornography. Thinking of more ways of gathering evidence to secure more convictions.
I think (correct me if I'm wrong), that chemical castration has been proven not to work?
I honestly don't think it'll ever end and it just depresses me. I think we'll be lucky to get out of this decade with all the rights we had in the last.
I really wish there was something effective we could do, a Feminist party I could vote for, more prominent people - men particularly - standing up as allies and actually doing something.
More men being held to account and being prosecuted with harsher punishments, tougher sentencing, zero tolerance for "low level" sexual crimes that we know escalate.
Definitely agree that violent porn should be restricted and that society needs to lean away from the current OnlyFans and sex work is empowering work to be aspired to cultural shift that's going on.
Women's spaces being returned to them (obviously Trans rights separately enshrined to ensure they are equally safe) and our ability to talk about our sex etc returned to us without shouts of exclusion and bigotry.
So many things but we need men to actually take steps to do something which truly galls me in a way, but without the actions of men we are shouting into the wind which is even more galling.
