DP said this to me on saturday, after having a chat about my DB and his current split from DW. I was shocked, angry that such a thing could be suggested and couldn't help turning this comment back on my DP. What would you think? am I over reacting, was it just one of those silly comments people make?

thanks baffy, we've been there time and time again. I come up with the ideas/possible solutions (normally after Mning), I make the effort and believe me it is an effort, the thought now of having to flick that switch to 'on' tonight makes me nervous with a horrible feeling inside. I will do it though. The worst bit is he knows i'm doing it for him. Then i'll keep it up for a few weeks (the more you have the more you want isn't it?). Then I start feeling like it's only me that makes the effort, so I'll wait for DP to stroke the back of my neck, or give me a sign he wants me, and..... I wait, and wait... then we are back to the here and now. I can't see DP agreeing to realate again. We went about 4 yrs ago and he kept complaining about the price, even though he knew it was for us.

It's no wonder you feel this way if when you do make the effort, he doesn't make any effort in return
