Am I justified in losing it with my husband?

So after spending 20 minutes rocking my ds to sleep while he was crying and hitting me in the face I was dreaming on being able to sit down for 10 minutes (baby only naps for 30mins) and having a can of Fanta and resting my achy shoulders from holding my 22pound child! I come downstairs and my husband is hanging the washing out on the drying rack, washing that I had put on earlier and had every intention of hanging out later on. He looks at me and says “Well are you going to help me with this?”.
I literally jumped up and down like a toddler and shouted. Would anyone else have reacted the same way or was this a massive over reaction?

At least he didn't wake the baby.

MajorMujer · 14/02/2021 18:35

Nope, he is a knob.

Buzzer3555 · 14/02/2021 18:45

Were there any pegs to hand? I would have rammed them up his bum :)

Lightningcrops · 14/02/2021 18:48

That would annoy me too, I hope you said nah.

Tangledtresses · 14/02/2021 18:49

Ha what? I would've thrown it at him and laughed manically

HollowTalk · 14/02/2021 18:50

Why would a grown man need help with that?

LivingDeadGirlUK · 14/02/2021 18:52

YANBU and I'd be heading for a bath after giving him instructions to deal with baby when they wake.

I would say that next time, you'll be glad to hang the washing whilst he grapples with your child.

He's an insensitive prick.

Thank you everyone! 😂 I feel much better now, sometimes I’m not sure whether it’s just me that loses it over things like that or if other people do too! ❤️

He's a complete dick!

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 14/02/2021 22:00

Absolutely not unreasonable! Even the smallest bit of empathy or imagination must have shown him why you needed to sit down.

A bath sounds the best option for you OP!

johnd2 · 14/02/2021 22:56

Honestly it just sounds like you both need a hug!

Enjoy your can of Fanta Flowers
