Fishy penis..? What could be causing it?

I have a male friend with whom i have a casual sexual relationship. Fwbs, I suppose.

We are in a bubble...

We spend most weekends together but don't always have sex.

We had sex at the weekend and I noticed that he had a fishy odour.

I've always associated this with recent sex. We have told each other that we aren't having sex with anyone else currently because of lockdown. He is being very cautious generally and is quite anxious about going anywhere or even meeting up with friends in the park. He works from home so doesn't have much cause to go out.

I've never had any reason to doubt him. He's generally an honest man.

And, tbh, we've only confirmed exclusivity due to lockdown. There was never any expectation of it before.

If he has had sex with someone else, I'm not bothered about the sex, just that it would mean our bubble wasn't the only bubble he is in!

Do I broach it with him? Are there any other explanations?

No. No discomfort, no swelling, nothing nasty... no other symptoms at all.

Not taking any supplements. Just improved his diet for the better so I doubt it's that really.

I had a big fish from the chippy last week. The next day my faff reaked of fish!

Yeah I can smell it in my urine sometimes.

One other reason for a fishy smell is if semen is if not completely cleaned out after ejaculation. Basically is it possible he had a wank and didn't wipe 100%.

I'm a man and on occasion, I've had a whiff from the old boy. I've also got a whiff from female partners. It happens.

Or do you think this counts as a change to your (OP) taste or smell? GrinGrin

Does anything else taste or smell different to you at the moment?

Covid test time? Grin

Op ignore the judgemental muppets on this thread.

I reckon as PPs have said, it could have been due to something he had recently ate or not properly cleaning his dong after a wank or a pee.

If it’s still there next time you have sex then it might be a UTI or something but it may well be gone by then.

I dated a guy once who had a penis that smelled of a combination of musty clothes and old biscuits- never knew why but it lingered for a while after.

mylovelydd · 29/01/2021 18:13

It could be a bit of thrush

A "bubble" is not for having sex with friend's with benefits. At a stretch your partner. A bubble is meant to be for single mums or people with elderly parents with nobody to take care of them. I haven't seen my dad since Christmas day as he lives with my brother. Having sex with fish dick is not a bubble!

BubblyBarbara · 29/01/2021 20:05

Eugh I hope you aren't sticking his fish stick in your gob Confused

I’m not sure if this advice would apply to the area you are from specifically, but in my area you are able to organise for a posted STD test to be sent to you.

This doesn’t include testing for everything, I believe it to be only for chlymidia. These services can also organise for condoms to be posted out with your testing kit, along with other forms of protection.

I would definitely say that if you are having a casual relationship with someone you must wear protection.

@thecatsarecrazy are you happy with yourself?....

You are clearly bitter! Maybe you should worry more about being kind then a jealous boob
