Anyone live in llantwit fadre? (Or close)(Not sure where to post this?)

I have posted in Cardiff/South Wales.
I am usually back and forth on this forum (relationships), and everyone is always lovely and helpful so thought I'd post here for advice (or post could be directed to correct forum).
I'm currently going through a divorce and relocating. It's cheaper and looking for a fresh start. I feel very nervous but know it's the right thing. Just wondering if anyone knows the area or there abouts?

Hi I'm from Cardiff and now living near location you mentioned yes houses much cheaper, I would suggest llantrisant or Talbot green as nicer areas to live,, treforest is mostly a students location and Pontypridd could be mistaken for the land time had forgot,!! 😂

No problem, tbh I wish I could move back to Cardiff myself,!! But different people have different circumstances... nantgarw is another ok area the only thing going for Pontypridd is its main public transport buses / trains station if your dependant on public transport .

Hay there. I am close to this area. I'd also suggest Llantrisant. Also Miskin is lovely. As someone else has said Pontypridd/Treforest is very student dominated so I'd avoid if that's not what u want. Do you need to consider schools?

No my one daughter will be going to college in Cardiff and I'm going to commute to work and drop my youngest off at the school she is at now. My youngest only has a couple of years left at school. I'm a bit further from work but there is potential opportunities near where I am looking.

Yes, llantwit fadre is nice. Also have a look at Taffs Well and Tongwynlais, well placed for transport links.
